REVIEW: SMALLVILLE SEASON 11, GUARDIAN, CHAPTER 8
You know how when you’re reading a novel or a comic book and you wish they’d recreate that scene perfectly in a film or television movie? Smallville fans have the advantage of knowing how a scene looks in live action and when they read it in a comic book based on the show, Smallville Season 11, they get VERY EXCITED!!! Like lose their minds happy, happy, joy, joy.
Smallville Season 11 digital #8 is a MUST, MUST, MUST read. If you’ve never seen the show or read any of the other 7 digital issues or not gotten a hold of the two print comics — SHAME ON YOU!!! — you must read this digital-first installment. It is everything a fan of any comics, Superman and/or Smallville could ever desire. Bryan Q. Miller is a genius. He started out at EXCELLENT and each chapter just gets better and better. How does he do it? He definitely should be classified as a comic book enabler, but I refuse to go to rehab. Just give me more!!! He delivers the best fix ever!
Clark Kent as Superman dealing with explosive danger while talking to the love of his life, Lois Lane, is hysterical, touching, and incredibly real and romantic. Lois calling out her father, General Sam Lane, and the military’s role in this sequence of events is dramatic, rebellious, and the ultimate father-daughter chat when your father is a four star general. Tess Mercer may be connected to Lex Luthor for all eternity? No peace after death? Especially since Lex is evil, evil, EVOL! Step away from the droids! And poor Hank Henshaw stepping into his canon.
No, I’m not schizophrenic. I’m just super pumped about GUARDIAN!
Rating: MUST READ! I hope I’ve piqued your curiosity with this rambling nonsensical review. Just buy the digital comic and ENJOY!
THE LITTLE COMIC THAT COULD IS ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, DARLING!!!
Don’t forget G2Factor will be discussing this installment of GUARDIAN on Sunday. Click here for more info!
