3 MORE DAYS UNTIL SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 DIGITAL #4
START THE COUNTDOWN! Have the apps ready! MAY 18th IS SMALLVILLE FRIDAY!
Let’s continue to support this story we love. The first three digital chapters (contained in print issue #1 still on sale at your comic shop) were hugely successful against its print-first siblings. Let’s continue to show DC Comics that digital-first comics are the REAL DEAL. Smallville fans can lead the way!
As you know from my reviews, I am not the biggest fan of ‘the blondes.’ BUT I also know that the DC Comics solicitations are equal to the CW official descriptions. You had to watch the show to see what the episode was truly about. NOW you have to read the book to know the story Bryan Q. Miller is really telling.
Let’s not sabotage this precious gift before it’s even out of the first episode. Let’s not berate BQM because of the perceptions of what a DC Comics solicitation MIGHT mean. Bryan has been accessible to fans, let’s keep it that way. Allow him the freedom to tell the story.
Take solace in the fact that the television politics are no longer involved. DC editorial seems to be leaving Bryan to tell his story without much restriction. It’s SMALLVILLE — the story of Clark Kent being his destiny of Superman.
Not everyone watched the show or are reading the comic for the same reasons as you are. That said, be aware that those reasons can co-exist. Give Bryan the chance to play with as many toys as possible.
Allow Smallville Season 11 to bring the fractured fanbase together. It’s the only way we’re going to be able to feed our addiction of new Smallville stories. This book HAS TO SUCCEED. Let’s not kill it in its infancy. Be tolerant and patient. Think: “What would Clark do?”
AND BUY SMALLVILLE SEASON 11 CHAPTER 4 OF GUARDIAN ON MAY 18th, DIGITAL #4.
