About OSCK
Operation Save Clark Kent was created by an impassioned group of Smallville fans concerned about the show’s ethical stance in portraying Clark Kent. This group, The Red Jacket Defenders, believed that the character portrayed on SMALLVILLE during the end of season 6 and into season 7 bore little resemblance to the character defined for over 70 years in American popular culture. They believed that SMALLVILLE’s Clark Kent can be written to restore faith in the character and give hope, a staple of the SUPERMAN character, to future generations of SUPERMAN fans.
In the fall of 2007 OSCK launched a campaign to tell the executives at DC Comics and Warner Brothers how we felt about the dis-respect being shown to the Superman legacy. In April the series underwent a change in management and creative direction and this fall the show has made a complete turn around.
Update-Beginning of Season 8:
This blog is our Smallville site. We like Superman and the Superman mythos. We like Smallville and the actors on the show- and as things stand right now Operation Save Clark Kent has been completed! We have a new mission as Superman fans and that is to make sure things continue in the right direction and to thank the new showrunners for listening to our grievances and correcting them.
Please read our Mission Report Update and stay tuned for season 8! Things are looking up and we intend to enjoy the ride!
UPDATE- End of Season 8
Operation Save Clark Kent is now officially being declared a success! Clark is working at the Daily Planet, he has finally put his Lana obsession behind him and is determined to help others. As a result some changes are being made here. Operation Save Clark Kent is now OSCK Superman Fans of Smallville. I have shut down new posting to our forums and encourage all Superman fans looking for a fun place to chat to join the forums for Clois Creative Corner where we ship the mythos and also have a lot of other sci-fi fandoms we chat about- esp Supernatural! The forums will remain open so you can sign up and read the fan fic and see the artwork and reviews- but otherwise the boards are no longer active as I can only maintain so many things online. Our blog here has become one of the most popular online for Smallville news and we will continue to serve up reviews, news and more about Superman and Smallville cast members so keep us bookmarked! Only the name has changed- the content remains the same.

i agree, this show can be turned around and into something great if the writers come through.
Clark, fly
train at the fortress
move to the dp
get glasses
the end.
I totally agree with you and i really hope that season n8 is going to be different and especially Clark centric…But I honestly believe that the only reason we weren’t able to see about the whole Superman mythos is the writers obsession to Lana…I mean that in every episode we were seeing about Lana’s life and faults and Lana was really really holding Clark back from his destiny…I’m a Cloiser and i really believe that there’s a reason it’s Lois & Clark and it’s not Lana & Clark or Chloe & Clark. And I really hope that in season 8 where Clark’ll work in the Daily Planet and be Lois’ partner he’ll start fullfilling his destiny after so many years of useless brooding!
season 9?, ok very good, we`ll have smallville one year more!. But the fight is not finish.. Yes, I Know, Clark is working in the Planet!, he`ll accept his destiny definitely, we won the first round in the season 8, but we must, we must claim, they show the story of the superhero, Superman.. Because already have shown us the story of Clark!.
Greetings from Spain.
thanks guys. some of us here in kenya were just about ready to give up on smallville since the character of Clark kent had become such a wuss, what with Lana and everything. so once again a big holla to you guys and keep the fire burning.

Die hard funs of Smallville and especially of Lois lane
Glad to help out Supes fans around the globe!
I’m 70 yrs old, and a superman fan all my life!!
Thanks for the push to the powers that be to get Clark moving along to embrace his destiny. I was tired of Lana too!
The Season 9 opener was fantastic, and I loved seeing Brian Austin Green of “90210″ fame as a new character!
Way to Go Guys & Girls!!
Amen! I know this is an ancient blog, but I just wanted to say thanks for so thoroughly expressing the sentiment I’d been feeling so strongly at the time. I really feel it was the push from impassioned fans like this that pushed the show in a happier direction for the final three seasons (The Arc of Infinite Stupidity excluded, of course).
