Please pass along the feedback to DC comics that the drawings for the Smallville comic are deteriorating to the point where there is absolutely no resemblance to Tom Welling and the rest of the cast. They are drawn more like characters from Archie comics dressed up as Smallville characters. This is very frustrating, as we read the comic because we want SMALLVILLE – not just any non-descript faces. They will definitely lose readers if they continue in this direction. If DC is too cheap to pay royalties to the actors they should just discontinue the comic.
I don’t know what the situation is, but there have been more than several artists on the Smallville Season 11 book. Bryan has said that the artist for HAUNTED draws a gorgeous Clark. I don’t think it is a matter of paying royalties — as this may not even be available. Hopefully, there will be more artists that draw closer to the likenesses of the actors.
Yes – I noticed that one artist drew the first and last 10 pages of issue number 8 – and he didn’t even get the Smallville version of Bruce Wayne in the ending to resemble the one at the beginning of the story in the earlier Smallville comics. A different artist drew the middle 10 pages and he actually got a good likeness of Lois and a couple of Clark. Looking back over the past issues, there really is a wide disparity in drawing quality from installment to installment. I hope you are right that Haunted is well drawn. Thanks for the reply.
