Here is the updated Smallville season 8 Episode Guide – episodes 1-10 airing in 2008, the others to air in 2009.

8.01 Odyssey- The Justice League tracks down Clark and rescues Chloe, we meet Tess Mercer who is running Luthor Corp. Clark takes a job at the Daily Planet. Chloe accepts Jimmy’s proposal. REVIEW HERE

8.02 Plastique- Davis Bloome is introduced, Clark starts work, Chloe befriends a super powered angry young girl, end of episode Tess recruits the girl for a place on a new team of special people she is building. Full Review HERE

8.03 Toxic- backstory of Ollie and Tess is revealed when Oliver is poisoned. Oliver learns from Tess that Lionel killed his parents, Oliver is peeved at Clark for not telling him about this. Chloe and Davis get closer, her Brainiac human computing powers are growing. REVIEW HERE

8.04 Instinct – Maxima comes to Smallville after Tess and her scientist set off a beacon from the crystal they found in the arctic. Maxima leaves a trail of bodies in her wake looking for Clark. There is a showdown between Lois and Maxima who declares she will eliminate Lois because of the deep bond between Lois and Clark. Lois denies this bond but Maxima tries to kill her before Clark flashes in and takes Maxima out. End of episode Clark sends Chloe to see if she can get the crystal from Tess who thinks it is an alien computer- but the crystal has vanished. Review HERE

8.05 Committed- Jimmy and Chloe are kidnapped from their engagement party by a mad man. Lois and Clark go undercover to find them and their kidnapper and get taken hostage themselves, Lois admits to feelings for Clark then denies them at the end of the episode. Lois and Chloe make peace over Chloe getting married and Lois welcomes Jimmy to the family. Review Part 1, Review Part 2

8.06 Prey Clark is in high hero mode, spending his nights at his desk waiting for calls to come in to help people, he superjumps to a crime scene and finds a bloody Davis there. Clark becomes suspicious of Davis and Chloe’s meteor freak kids. Clark and Jimmy work with Davis to track down the murderer , Chloe is sure Davis is innocent, Clark and Chloe clash over this. Martian Manhunter now a homicide detective warns Clark not to get caught zipping around and using his powers. End- one of Chloe’s kids was the killer and he too gets recruited to Tess’s new squad. 8.07 Identity Clark gets caught as a red blur on camera by Jimmy who is certain there is a new hero in the city. Clark is frantic- people have died because they knew his secret ( Alician- Pariaha, Lana- Reckoning – then Jonathan). He and Chloe disagree again- she thinks maybe he should go public with this alias. Clark turns to Ollie to help him hide his identity. Lois goes undercover with one of the released special people from the Black Creek facility who Tess has sicked on Lois to find out if she knows where the crystal is. Sebastian tries to read Lois’ mind finds out she has the flashdrive from Black Creek but not the crystal. He tries to kill Lois, she fights back and then in the middle of things calls Clark for help. He saves her but does it at super speed so she doesn’t see anything. End of episode Jimmy prints the pic of Clark at superspeed and Lois declares she will get the first exclusive interview with this new Super Dude. Final scene- Chloe goes to Lois’ attacker’s bedside asks he saw anything when Clark grabbed him- he says “yes” and Chloe takes her gloves off and kills the man by grabbing his arm and somehow overloading his brain. KARA RETURNS — Clark (Tom Welling) receives an anonymous package containing the crystal that Tess (Cassidy Freeman) found in the Arctic. When he removes the crystal, it activates and sends him and a visiting Lois (Erica Durance) to the Phantom Zone where they run into Kara (guest star Laura Vandervoort). Kara opens a portal for Lois to return but Zod’s wife Faora escapes with her and takes over Lois’ body. A possessed Lois goes on a rampage in Metropolis. Allison Mack, Aaron Ashmore and Justin Hartley also star.

Season 8: “Abyss” (Airdate: 11/06/08)

BRAINIAC ERASES CHLOE’S MEMORY — Brainiac begins removing Chloe’s (Allison Mack) memories one by one until the only person she remembers is Davis (Sam Witwer). Clark (Tom Welling) realizes the only way to stop Brainiac from taking over Chloe’s mind is to rebuild the Fortress and ask Jor-El to heal her. Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore, Justin Hartley and Cassidy Freeman also star. Kevin Fair directed the episode written by Don Whitehead & Holly Henderson.

IT’S CHLOE AND JIMMY’S DREAM WEDDING DAY BUT TWO UNEXPECTED GUESTS CRASH THE PARTY

Chloe (Allison Mack) is excited that she’s marrying Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore). Meanwhile, Oliver (Justin Hartley) tells Clark (Tom Welling) he thinks he’s discovered where Lex is hiding and takes off to Cuba to confront him. However, when he arrives, Oliver is shocked to find Lana (Kristin Kreuk) instead. Clark and Lois (Erica Durance) grow closer but chaos ensues when Doomsday crashes the wedding and tries to kidnap Chloe. Jeannot Szwarc directed the episode written by Al Septian & Turi Meyer
