Official Episode Descriptions for the next few episodes:

8.04 Instinct: Tess and her team perform tests on Clark’s crystal that she had retrieved from the arctic, causing it to send a beam of light into the universe.  This triggers the arrival of Maxima (guest star Charlotte Sullivan), a queen from the planet Almerac, who is searching for her soulmate, who she believes sent the signal. Unfortunately, Maxima’s power is too great for mortal men and her kiss kills them. The seductive Maxima arrives in Metropolis and begins her search, starting with Jimmy. Source: The CW

8.05 Committed: After they leave their engagement party, Chloe and Jimmy are abducted by a psychotic jeweler (guest star David Lewis) who was emotionally scarred by his wife’s infidelity and is now kidnapping couples and subjecting them to a kryptonite-enhanced lie detector that shocks them if they lie.  The abductor asks Chloe if she is in love with anyone else. Meanwhile, in an effort to find Chloe and Jimmy, Clark and Lois pose as a couple and are kidnapped themselves then, asked how they feel about each other. Source: The CW

8.06 Prey: DAVIS STARTS TO SEE HIS DARK SIDE – Clark (Tom Welling) looks into a recent attack in a theater that may be the work of a serial killer. Suspecting it could be someone who is meteor-infected, he demands that Chloe (Allison Mack) release the names of the people she is counseling at the Isis Foundation, which causes a rift between the friends. Davis (Sam Witwer) fears that his blackouts could mean that he is the serial killer and collects evidence that may implicate him. Fearing the worst, he confesses his suspicions to Chloe. Erica Durance, Aaron Ashmore and Cassidy Freeman also stars. Michael Rohl directed the episode written by Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders (#3T7456). DTS

8.07 Identity: If you were so inclined, you could probably blame Jimmy Olsen for the cape, tights and giant S thing. According to [exec producer Darren] Swimmer, “There’s an episode where Jimmy will think he sees something and starts connecting it to Clark, and Clark has to dig himself out of it. That starts Clark thinking that maybe it would be wise to have a secret identity. He starts embracing the idea that there’s someone out there saving people. He’s not denying that completely anymore, he’s just not ready to tell anyone it’s him. And that makes this year very exciting for us.” No telling yet if there’s actually going to be a costume, but the Superman brand is definitely in development… Source: Kristin on E!Online

8.08 Bloodline: No official episode description available yet.

8.09 Abyss: This is the Chloe and Clark flashback episode where Clark takes Chloe to Jor-El to try to help her with her brain problems ( brought on by Brainiac of course!)

8.10 Bride: This is the cliff hanger before the show takes a break – it will be the mess of a wedding for Jimmy and Chloe. Expect the return of Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang in this one. We are also being told to expect another guest- am guessing it will be Gabe Sullivan- Chloe’s dad.

8.11 Legion: This is the episode for the begining of the back half of the 8th season. We should know when this airs if there will be another season or if the final episodes will be leading toward a finale for Smallville. Legion will be written by Geoff Johns and will feature members of The Legion of Super Heroes aka the LOSH. Kristin Kreuk is scheduled to be in this episode as will Allison Mack. No word yet on what other cast regulars will be appearing- besides of course Tom Welling as Clark Kent.
