SMALLVILLE: “SLEEPER”
The CW has released a description of “Sleeper,” the Thursday, April 24 episode of Smallville.
Here’s how the network describes the episode:
“Clark (Tom Welling) desperately searches for Kara (Laura Vandervoort) and Brainiac (guest star James Marsters, as Brainiac is the only one who can reverse Lana’s (Kristin Kreuk) condition. Clark asks Chloe (Allison Mack) to check any large power surges in the area, so she breaks into several government computers, setting off alarms.
“Jimmy (Aaron Ashmore) is caught between the Department of Security - who threatens him with jail time unless he helps them arrest Chloe - and Lex (Michael Rosenbaum), who offers to help clear Chloe if Jimmy agrees to be in his debt.”
The episode is written by Caroline Dries and directed by Whitney Ransic

Some of the comments on Kryptonsite’s forums about Chloe being more like “Superman” on “Smallville” than Clark Kent is are right on the mark. Clark was too focused on curing Lana and finding Brianiac to think clearly enough to focus on finding the keys to prevent Lex Luther from accessing the box in Zurich. I can see that Chloe is getting fustrated with Clark now. I was so glad to see her and Jimmy together heating up their romance again with that dancing and the subsequent “make out” scene. Aaron Ashmore and Allision Mack did an excellent job of dancing together. It was reminest of Arnold Swatznegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in “True Lies” with the couples being spies. It was also reminest of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” with Chloe and Jimmy trying to hide serets from each other. Jimmy was obvioulsy imitating James Bond and he made a good one.
Clark possibly going back to Krypton to save himself as a baby sounds intriguing. But, I dbout if we will see much, if any thing of Krypton, on “Smallville” because of the expense of creating the sets for it. I am looking forward to the “Its A Wonderful Life” type of episode in the next episode, “Apolalyse” showing Clark what life would have been like had he not come to earth. It will be interesting to see if either John Schneider or Annette O’Tootle will guest star as the Kents. Some how I doubt it due to the actors having other obligations and the “Smallville” producers not wanting them. That is sad. I also doubt if they bring in Terence Stamp to play Jor-El and have Helen Slater come back to play Lara on Krypton to show them sending Clark to earth. That too would be too expensive and difficult, but it would be wonderful if they could do it.
